The Monsters are Due on Maple Street

Rod Serling's quote at the end of the episode has to do with, to me is not every time the biggest baddest weapon cause fear and curiosity in the minds of people. The smallest tweak in a routine schedule in a town such as power down suddenly, electronics acting weird or just prejudices against one another can throw everybody out of proportion. I agree with the statement by Sterling because just like the Salem witch trails people would accuse others to get off the hook so to say. Just as in the episode charlie starts to blame the other residents only to be accused for conspiracy right back. I can relate because I've been accused for something as a scapegoat and the real culprit was my friend playing a trick in the smallest possible way to get my group to fight with each other. Its really crazy to witness a little tweak in a place where people live can go awfully wrong to the extend where any idea popped up can be used to get others in trouble.

Good Night and Good Luck: Murrow's speech

I agree with what Murrow's sentiment had to state about if you have information of a certain topic, it would be used as anyway possible to get the word out. Murrow if here today would be pleased to see the people in news corporations take their duties to heart, to get the information out to the public keeping people the audience in heads up states aware of any situation covered."There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires and lights in a box" this piece of the sentiment in the speech basically means the information that's taken or received can be very helpful and whats there to lose if your wrong you would try again to get something out, information can teach others of situations and lighten them up more to the public. You can make any informative source good to as far you want it to go but if you don't it would be useless just as in he sentiment "Merely wires and lights".

Third Blog Entry The Crucibal

Vengeance is walking Salem. We are what we always were in Salem, but now little crazy children are jangling the keys of the kingdom and common vengeance writes the law!. This warrant's vengeance I'll not give my wife to vengeance. (pg 1283)

Responce: In Salem people are accusing other citizens to get them out the picture and be on the list of suspicion.  In the quote since everybody is poking fingers at each other its the hysteria that execute people of being with the devil. Now in my view adults in that time would slowly go and go because of accusations at them and children would just run around.

The concept of unity in which positive and negative are attributes of the same force in which good and evil are ever changing, and always joined to the same phenomenon such a concept is still reserved to the physical sciences and to the few who have grasped the history of ideas.


Responce: A situation that cannot be co-ensided. In this religion government if you weren't for good you would be listed for the devil. These are very very extremist type of living. So much pressure to live in such of way of life as the one in salem.
